Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-06-26

Conquoreum is built by Enlightened Informatics. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Conquoreum iOS app (the App) and the Conquoreum website (the Site), how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and the rights you have over it. We aim to write this in plain language. Where a section uses a defined term, the defined term is capitalized.

Scope and consent

This Policy covers the App, the Site, and the optional onboarding-call booking flow. By using the App or the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or the Site.

Where we rely on consent (for example, to process your voice through the AI Companion or to send you waitlist email), you may withdraw that consent at any time by following the steps in Your Rights below.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the App and the Site, in the categories below.

Account identity (App)

When you create an account in the App you sign in with Sign in with Apple, and we store your email, your name, and your Apple user identifier through Clerk, our authentication provider. We do not see or store your Apple ID password.

Your growth content (App)

When you use the App you create habits, skills, quests, streaks, XP, levels, your mission and goals, and written reflections. We store this growth content through Convex, our backend data and sync provider, so it is available across your devices.

Companion interactions (App)

  • Your voice from the device microphone, captured only while a Companion session is active.
  • Your chat messages and the transcripts of your spoken sessions with the Companion.
  • The Companion voice and personality you select.

We process these interactions in real time through Google (Gemini) to power the AI Companion. An in-app consent step gates microphone access; you may revoke microphone access at any time in iPhone Settings. The Companion is disclosed in the App as an AI character, not a human, not a therapist, and not a crisis service.

Subscription status (App)

We learn whether you have an active subscription, and which tier, through RevenueCat and Apple (StoreKit). The App never sees or stores your payment card. Apple handles billing.

Diagnostics and product analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the App and the Site are used in aggregate (for example, which screens are opened, which features are returned to). We use Sentry to capture crashes and errors so we can fix them. These services receive event data and device-level technical identifiers; we do not send them your growth content or your Companion transcripts.

Notifications (App)

If you enable reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device and may send push notifications through Apple Push Notification service.

Device access (App)

The App requests Microphone access only, and only for the voice Companion. The App does not request health, location, camera, photos, or contacts data.

Website information

  • Waitlist signups: first name and email, sent to Kit (our email and marketing processor) so we can tell you when Conquoreum launches.
  • Optional onboarding-call bookings: name and email, sent to Calendly to schedule the call.
  • Web analytics: page views, UTM attribution, and basic device information through PostHog. Web errors through Sentry.
  • We do not process payments on the Site. All purchases happen in the App through Apple.

How we use your information

  • To run the App: sign you in, sync your habits and reflections, render your level and unlocks, deliver Companion sessions, and remember your preferences.
  • To run the Companion: send your voice and messages to Google (Gemini) in real time so the AI Companion can respond, and to retain transcripts inside your account so you can review past sessions.
  • To manage your subscription: confirm entitlement through RevenueCat and Apple, restore purchases on request, and honour refunds Apple grants.
  • To improve the product: measure feature usage in aggregate through PostHog, and fix crashes through Sentry.
  • To communicate with you: answer your support email, send the waitlist email you signed up for, and schedule onboarding calls you book.
  • To meet our legal obligations and to protect the security and integrity of the App and the Site.

We do not use your growth content or your Companion transcripts to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell your personal information.

  • Contract: to provide the App, the Site, and the subscription you signed up for.
  • Consent: for microphone access and Companion processing, for marketing email, and for non-essential analytics where required by local law.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the App secure, to prevent abuse, to fix crashes, and to understand product usage in aggregate.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.

Sub-processors we use

We rely on a small number of trusted vendors to run Conquoreum. Each is bound by its own privacy and security commitments, and each receives only the data it needs for its role.

AI and core services

  • Google (Gemini): powers the AI Companion. Receives your voice, messages, and conversation context during a Companion session.
  • Clerk: authentication. Receives your sign-in identifiers (email, Apple user ID, name).
  • Convex: backend data and sync for your growth content (habits, skills, quests, XP, reflections, mission and goals).
  • RevenueCat: subscription entitlement management. Receives subscription events and a pseudonymous user identifier.
  • Apple: App Store billing and Sign in with Apple. Receives the information needed to process your purchase and authenticate your sign-in.

Infrastructure and other

  • PostHog: product and web analytics. Receives event data and a pseudonymous device identifier.
  • Sentry: error and crash diagnostics. Receives stack traces and the technical context needed to reproduce a crash.
  • Kit: email and marketing processor for the website waitlist. Receives your first name and email if you join the waitlist.
  • Calendly: scheduling processor for optional onboarding calls. Receives your name, email, and chosen time slot if you book a call.

If we add, remove, or replace a sub-processor, we will update this list and the Last Updated date at the top of this page.

International data transfers

Some of the sub-processors above are located in, or operate from, the United States and other countries outside Canada and the European Economic Area. When personal information is transferred outside your region we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses where they apply.

Data retention and security

We keep your account and growth content for as long as your account is active, plus a short period after to allow you to reactivate. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time (see Your Rights). Backups are rotated and securely deleted on a routine cycle.

We protect your information using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest through our hosting and database providers. We restrict access to personal information to the people who need it to operate Conquoreum, under confidentiality obligations.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Your rights (GDPR and similar)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a jurisdiction with comparable rights, you have the following rights over your personal information:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to limited legal exceptions.
  • Portability: request a machine-readable copy of information you provided to us.
  • Restriction: ask us to pause certain processing while a concern is being resolved.
  • Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent (for example, microphone access for the Companion, or marketing email), withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email inquiries@enlightenedinformatics.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use them, the right to request access to and deletion of your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

Conquoreum does not sell your personal information, and Conquoreum does not share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly process the personal information of California residents under 16 without the required consent.

To submit a verifiable consumer request, email inquiries@enlightenedinformatics.com.

Children's privacy

Conquoreum is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Personal-development only, not medical advice

Conquoreum is a personal-development tool. It is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. The AI Companion is an AI character, not a clinician, not a therapist, and not a crisis service.

If you are in crisis or you believe you may harm yourself or others, contact your local emergency services immediately, or a local crisis line. Do not use Conquoreum for emergency support.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page. If the changes are material we will give you additional notice (for example, in the App or by email if you have signed up for our list).

Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
